An Australian TV correspondent has won acclaim for her reaction to a man who verbally manhandled her on a road as she attempted to carry out her activity.

Nine News writer Maggie Raworth had been getting ready to convey a piece to camera when she was drawn closer by the man in the Victorian city of Ballarat.

Video of the occurrence demonstrates the man bugging Ms Raworth and her cameraman with abuse and obscenities.

The columnist posted the recording internet, drawing acclaim for her quiet response.

In the video, the man discloses to Ms Raworth and her partner to "land a genuine position", portraying their calling as the "refuse of the world".

He influences a few interjection to loaded remarks coordinated at the writer, including some about her appearance.

Ms Raworth reacts by asking serenely, "What's your concern, sir? What have I done to you by and by?"

At a certain point she starts shooting the man. She later said she dreaded for her wellbeing.

"To be completely forthright, I figured he would hit me so I needed to catch that," Ms Raworth disclosed to Nine News.

"I'm a sure individual and he certainly picked the wrong target."

Ms Raworth presented the video on Facebook on Monday, where it has been seen a huge number of times. Analysts called the manhandle "disturbing" and "shocking".

"Great on you! Staying up for yourself," kept in touch with one individual. Another stated: "You dealt with the circumstance splendidly."
