UCLA basketball players 'arrested in China for shoplifting'

Three US school ball players have been captured in China for shoplifting, as per US media.

The players of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) were discovered shoplifting at a Louis Vuitton store, as per ESPN.

The UCLA group is in China to play their season opener against another US group, Georgia Tech.

The three were captured on Tuesday, one day before US President Donald Trump's initially visit to China.

The players being held in the city of Hangzhou are Cody Riley, LiAngelo Ball and Jalen Hill, as indicated by the Los Angeles Times and ESPN refering to anonymous sources.

"We know about a circumstance including UCLA understudy competitors in Hangzhou, China," UCLA Athletics representative Shana Wilson said in an announcement to a few US media.
